Chinese dad hires virtual hitmen

So uhm… this has to be one of the more interesting news when it comes internet/gaming addiction… A Chinese dad got to so fed up with his sons addiction to video games that he hired virtual hitmen to kill his sons in-game character every time he logged on, hoping that the constant dying would annoy him so much that he would quit playing video games and get a job. The son (23 year old) had been playing video games since high school and had gotten poor grades because of the games and even after high school he did poorly, never being able to keep a job. He quit his last job a few months ago, and his dad decided on this rather interesting way to make him stop, instead of just removing the internet or simply kick him out as any other parent would have done.

Even though he kept getting killed he didn’t stop, and ended up asking the “hitman” why he kept doing this. After this he confronted his dad saying: “I can play or I can not play, it doesn’t bother me. I’m not looking for any job—I want to take some time to find one that suits me.” His dad was relieved by this, but the story doesn’t say tell if the hitmen were called off or if the massacre is still going on

I can understand the dads frustration and this is by far the most amazing way to try to make someone playing video games, even if it doesn’t work!

So uhm… if anyone has a kid that they want to stop playing video games, you know how to do it! That said I’ll be going now, Mike is over and out!
