Blizzards intern servers hacked

Right so Blizzard just sent out a security update, and I do recommend reading it asap!

But in before all the panic and all, you should know what there wasn’t enough information stolen to actually access the battle.net account, but obviously you should go change your password and just read through the security hints and tips on Blizzards website.

At this time, we’ve found no evidence that financial information such as credit cards, billing addresses, or real names were compromised. Our investigation is ongoing, but so far nothing suggests that these pieces of information have been accessed.

Email addresses has been accessed for players all around the world, but for the players on the North American server some more information has been stolen: the answer to the personal security question, and information relating to Mobile and Dial-In Authenticators were also accessed, but Blizzard claims that this is NOT enough to access the battle.net accounts.

So this ‘warning’ goes mainly to the North American players, but everyone should take the necessary steps to stay safe!

You can find more information on the original post!

Thanks to Blizzard for acting so fast, and let’s hope no harm has been done ^^

Mike is over and out!
